COACH / Mentor
The Institute of Coaching cites that over 70% of individuals who receive coaching benefited from

When we embark on a coaching assignment we will meet over a series of 6 to 8 sessions,
each 90 to 120 minutes
Our conversations will centre on the challenges you wish to address which we document at the outset;
it is your agenda.
My role is to understand your perspective on each topic, to challenge and provide feedback where
necessary. The underlying principle is that you have the answers yourself, and I will help you to think it through and to plan forward
Occasionally, and only when necessary, I can offer advice; in effect this is mentoring.
Here’s the process we work to:
We connect
We ‘meet’ for a starting conversation to see do we click
We contract to work for a series of coaching sessions
You define the outcomes you need from my support
(We might meet 3-way with your Leader so outcomes are aligned)
We meet in-person (my preference) or virtually for a series of discussions at intervals of a few weeks
You work on your commitments between sessions; I’m available too
We review progress vs. planned outcomes, maybe 3-way again, and plan forward
I remain available and accessible

Designed for someone promoted to lead a team for the first time. Many are promoted in this
position without training (myself at one time!) and have to understand the real context of being
there primarily to support, not command and control

Most sales people have had the benefit of training, yet over time can be operating on auto-pilot.
A refresher which rebuilds the basics will raise performance dramatically.

A Team Re-set
An exploration of the purpose of a Team, its identity and values; might include formulating vision,
mission and strategy. A re-set is needed when our market has changed or the team is new;
this was a significant need post Covid19
